Project Description
In 2023, Designah launched a free job posting portal specifically designed for early startups and small businesses looking to connect with top talent quickly and efficiently. This innovative platform automates the job posting process, ensuring that each listing is shared across Reddit, Discord, and other relevant channels to maximize visibility and reach. The goal was to create a seamless and modern solution that reflects the dynamic needs of startups while making recruitment hassle-free.
Our aim was to simplify the hiring process for startups, enabling them to find qualified candidates without the usual complexities. With over 200 active users and a 60% success rate in securing talent through the platform, we’re proud to have created a tool that not only looks great but also delivers real results. Now, startups have a fast, reliable, and user-friendly portal that helps them stand out in a competitive hiring landscape and focus on growing their businesses.
Web Design
I began by thoroughly studying existing online remote job portals, putting ourselves in the shoes of someone searching for a job. I closely observed the pain points and gaps in these platforms, such as inefficient search functionality, lack of category-based filtering, cluttered layouts, and difficulties in submitting job postings. Our goal was to address these issues by designing a platform that prioritizes ease of use, better typography, and intuitive navigation for both job seekers and employers.
After identifying these key areas for improvement, we focused on creating a clean and responsive design that works seamlessly across all devices, from desktops to smartphones. I prioritized user-friendly features like advanced search options, clear category filters, and a streamlined job submission process. Every detail, from font choices to button placements, was meticulously crafted to enhance usability and ensure a smooth, hassle-free experience. The result is a platform that not only looks modern and professional but also makes it easy for users to find what they need quickly and efficiently.
Web Development
Once the design was finalized, we brought the job portal to life using Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, and SvelteKit to ensure the platform was both easy to maintain and lightning-fast. I prioritized clean, well-documented code to make it simple for startups and small businesses to understand and extend the functionality, providing long-term support and flexibility. Rigorous testing and a focus on readability and usability were at the core of our development process, ensuring the platform performed seamlessly across all devices and use cases.
To address the challenges of expensive and complex job posting processes, we implemented innovative features like no-authentication posting, automated multi-platform distribution, and a streamlined user interface. These solutions included one-click job submissions, intelligent cross-posting to Reddit and Discord, and a mobile-responsive layout for on-the-go posting. Additionally, we built a smart management system with unique email links for editing posts, basic analytics dashboards, and quality control features like automated content formatting and spam prevention. The result is a cost-effective, user-friendly platform that empowers startups to post jobs instantly, track performance, and focus on growing their businesses with confidence.
Graphic Design
For the visuals, we kept the design simple and functional, opting for a generic color scheme with a white background and black text to ensure maximum readability and a clean, professional look. Instead of relying on multiple colors, we used font-weight variations to differentiate between headings and paragraphs, creating a clear visual hierarchy.
This minimalist approach not only made the interface easy to navigate but also ensured that users could focus on the content without distractions. Every element was thoughtfully arranged to guide the user’s eye naturally, making the experience intuitive and straightforward.
